Support Groups

Support Groups

Our support groups provide a safe environment to explore deeper thoughts, feelings and experiences related to cancer. Groups are typically 1½ hours long and there are generally around 6 to 12 members in a group. Patients, caregivers, children and the bereaved have separate groups so that they can be with others who understand their experiences.

Orientation is required before attending a support group.

During the Orientation, you and a staff member will discuss which group best suits your needs and a date will be set for you to begin.

I don’t think I would have fared as well as I did through treatment without this group. You have a safe place to talk about anything, as well as share resources. I actually found my oncologist through another group member.
